Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk, by David Sedaris

I could hear David Sedaris' voice reading these stories in my head. When I first heard his new book was about animals, I was worried I wouldn't like it. As soon as I started reading it though, those fears disappeared. How could I not like David Sedaris? He's great. These are animal fables, darkly humorous tales of morality. The accompanying illustrations, by a well-known children's book creator, are just as surprisingly macabre. Good times.

I bought this at Powell's last Fall and STILL HAVE NOT READ IT. What is wrong with me?

It's a pretty quick read. Just snuggle up with it and a pot of tea and you've got yourself a great afternoon.
