An Exclusive Love, by Johanna Adorjan

I really thought this would be a depressing book, but it wasn't as bad as that. The author imagines the last day in the lives of her grandparents, Holocaust survivors who committed suicide together when the husband had a terminal illness and the wife, younger and healthy, didn't want to live without him. Adorjan intersperses this with memories of her grandparents, their life story, and interviews with their friends. It is an intensely emotional book and a fine read.
